Our Story

Built on local accountability.

SSI started small — a husband-and-wife conversation about how to make a meaningful, replicable contribution to the community that had given us so much.

Founder Luke Monroe is a 15-year Sonoma County real estate investor, licensed broker, and general contractor. After more than a decade of flipping homes, the birth of his daughter reshaped the question — not just "what's the next project?", but "what is she watching us do, and what do we owe the community that's raising her?"

The full real estate story — projects, partners, and the operating thesis — lives at RobinHoodHomes.org.

Giffen House

A permanent home for a vital local service — preserved as affordable housing, in partnership with a trusted operator.

SSI is acquiring Giffen House through our affordable housing arm. We will own and preserve the real estate as permanently affordable housing, deed-restricted through 2075, and partner with a local women's shelter for day-to-day operations.

Operations will be led by The Living Room — the only daytime drop-in center in Sonoma County serving women and children experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The partnership pairs SSI's long-term ownership and capital with The Living Room's frontline experience and care.
